Agency Overview

Dream Corps closes prison doors and opens doors of opportunity. We bring people together across racial, social, and partisan lines to create a future with freedom and dignity for all. We are working to build a future wherein "we the people" means all of us.

Program Overview

Green For All fights for a world that is green for all, not green for some. We work at the intersection of environmental, economic, and racial justice movements to advance solutions to poverty and pollution.

Green For All, a program of The Dream Corps, is seeking an experienced campaigner and coalition-builder to manage our state-based work to advance bipartisan climate legislation in the Southwest. The Regional Campaign Manager will work with internal staff and state-based partners across several states to help build support for common-sense climate solutions that both sides of the political aisle can support.

A successful candidate will have worked on state legislation, understand climate and energy issues, and have a good understanding of the policy landscape for affecting change in at least one state in the Southwest. This person will also be skilled at managing partnerships, working in coalition with diverse stakeholder groups, and shaping policy through a racial and economic justice lens. This is a great opportunity for a go-getter to make a real impact in changing the hyperpartisan conversation around climate change and work to make a real impact in red and purple states across the country.

This position is remote, but strong preference for candidates in Colorado, Nevada, Arizona, or Utah.

  • Track climate and energy policy developments across the region, monitor state and federal legislation, and stay abreast of latest research and media reports related to these issues.
  • Collaborate with the Campaign Director to develop and execute strategies and tactics that uplift climate solutions for low-income urban and rural communities and communities of color.
  • Convene and coordinate with a variety of stakeholders, businesses, and coalition partners to help shape state and regional climate policies.
  • Facilitate in-person and remote meetings, events, and issue briefings to a variety of audiences (e.g., policymakers, regulators, business leaders, community members).
  • Conduct community outreach and provide engagement support in the region.
  • Create content for Green For All’s communications strategies that build broad public support for equitable climate solutions (i.e. Op-Eds, talking points, issue briefs, etc).
  • Represent Green For All in testifying before regulatory and legislative bodies.
  • Serve as a media spokesperson as needed.

Other Duties

  • Participate in weekly Green For All team meetings, bi-monthly Dream Corps all-staff meetings, and annual retreats.
  • Contribute towards a positive, productive working environment.
  • Be responsive to internal communications (inbox, slack channel, etc) and keep calendar up-to-date during normal working hours.
  • Maintain accurate records in databases and tracking systems.

Some travel is required across the region, with occasional national travel.
