Dream Corps JUSTICE is a bipartisan effort to cut crime and incarceration across all 50 states. We bring together leaders impacted by the criminal justice system with unlikely allies spanning the political divide to push for criminal justice solutions.

Purpose

Dream Corps seeks an experienced, strategic and mission-driven leader to serve as the Director of Corporate Partnerships of Dream Corps. The Director is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and securing corporate partnerships which financially support the organization and further our mission.  To be successful in this role, this person must build and maintain high-trust relationships with a broad range of corporate contacts, from executive leaders to decision-makers within marketing, DEI, CSR and HR teams. This person will navigate internal corporate hierarchies to identify champions of Dream Corps and determine the highest impact opportunity for funding and partnership in any given moment.


Responsibilities

  • Research, identify and track corporate fundraising prospects. 
  • Prospect, pitch and close corporate fundraising partnerships. Package programs together to make partnerships more appealing to companies as well as sell programs a la carte (including Dream Corps JUSTICE, Dream Corps TECH and Dream Corps GREEN For All)
  • Secure event sponsorship funding to support Black Future Weekend and other external Dream Corps events
  • Develop key sales strategies and go-to-market initiatives to generate long term partnership revenue streams
  • Oversee reporting and prospect pipeline to ensure transparency and organizational visibility into sales activity
  • Lead and direct ongoing presentations with internal and external partners; develop positive relationships with prospects to execute against short and long-term strategic sponsorship sales plans
  • Collaborate with the Communications and Engagement teams to maximize cross-platform fundraising and activation opportunities
  • Write and edit custom fundraising proposals, promotional materials, stewardship reports and ongoing communications with corporate and community contacts.  
  • Track all relevant activity and communications in Salesforce CRM

Qualifications 

  • At least 4 years of professional experience in corporate fundraising
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding fundraising goals
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work hard and effectively in a fast-paced new endeavor.
  • Ability to work independently, while simultaneously acting as a leader and participant in complex collaborative processes
  • Strong relationship building skills
  • Flexible work style and interest in being part of a dynamic, evolving team and organization
  • Strong background in social/economic justice and equity
  • Significant level of computer proficiency including Google Suite and relational donor databases (Salesforce experience preferred)  
  • Belief that challenges and feedback will help you to grow 
  • Eagerness to explore limitations and seek opportunities for growth 
  • Proclivity towards coaching and mentoring 
  • Ability to work independently, while simultaneously acting as a leader and participant in complex collaborative processes

Employee Benefits

All full-time employees receive Medical, Dental & Vision coverage. Dream Corps pays 100% of premiums for employee, spouse and dependents. Part-time employees receive 50% coverage. After a 6 month waiting period, employees can contribute to our retirement plan. Currently, Dream Corps offers up to a 5% match. We also offer a flexible spending, pre-tax program for medical expenses, dependent care expenses, transit expenses and parking expenses. All full-time Dream Corps employees accrue 4 weeks of vacation time off and 12 days of sick time off over the first year of employment. Part-time employees accrue time off on a prorated basis. In addition to 10 paid holidays, Dream Corps also provides paid time off from December 24th through January 1st each year.
